Oleh Bilorus, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs presided over the conference. He underscored importance of activity conducted by the inter-parliamentary groups of friendship in order to develop relations between Ukraine and the EU member States, since "support of national parliaments of the EU member States and their influence on the governments is vitally important for the European integration of Ukraine".
The reporters stated that Ukraine goes through the period of dynamic transformation of relations with the EU, and it should result in political association and economic integration.
The participants of the conference called on the EU for launching bilateral dialogue on further liberalization of visa regime. They underscored importance of social protection of Ukrainian citizens that are temporarily employed in the EU member States.
Parliament members upheld the proposal concerning annual holding of the said international conference.
